"1. Face your fears.
What you have to realise is that there is no perfect moment to do anything.
Take the negative energy, anxiety & self doubt and use it to propel yourself forward.
Mistakes/failures are lessons in disguise. You’ll realise that your fears were irrelevant.
2. Stop comparing yourself to others.
Confidence comes from within, comparing yourself to others only aids in destroying your own self confidence.
Recognise that you are just as good as anyone else.
Utilise your own strengths and build on your weaknesses.
3. Get out of your own head.
Allowing your thoughts to control you, only increases insecurities.
Learn to accept negative thoughts. If they ever overwhelm you quietly whisper “get out of your own head”.
This highlights what you are doing & from it you can change your actions.
4. Look after yourself.
Hit the gym, eat good food, meditate.
Hitting the gym will improve your body confidence. Clothes will fit better and you’ll become more desirable.
Eating well will improve your psychical wellness.
Meditation will increase your mental capacity.
5. Surround yourself with positive people.
If negativity spreads like a wild fire, then so does positivity.
Positive, self confident people celebrate other’s successes, accept responsibility and support you in your time of need.
You owe it to yourself.
6. Get a hobby.
A lack of confidence can come from a lack of purpose.
Getting a hobby is a great way to feel a sense of accomplishment as well as an avenue to meet like minded individuals.
Whatever it is you choose, remember to give 100% towards it. You won’t regret it.
7. Look at what you’ve already achieved.
Looking back on past successes shows you what you are capable of.
If you’ve done it once why can’t you do a second, third or fourth time.
Make a list of accomplishment, add to it and any time you’re low on confidence, read it.
8. Become more assertive.
People with low self confidence, have a hard time putting across their point of view due to a fear of not being liked.
However what you begin to realise as you get older is that genuine people will respect your decisions and support you no matter what." - @mindandglory
